Scope: PA, PIDS, CCTV, and Network Systems

Overview
This project involves the onboard communication system for the KLIA Airport People Mover (APM). The scope includes the design, integration, and testing of Public Address (PA), Passenger Information Display System (PIDS), and CCTV systems for train communication and passenger safety.
My Role
I contributed to the mechanical design of onboard equipment such as the display enclosures, passenger help points, and other mounting assemblies.
Additionally, I prepared the CCTV coverage study to ensure optimal camera placement and onboard security visibility.
I also represented the engineering team during a field visit to China to inspect and verify the installation of the equipment before system commissioning.
I also performed pre-SAT and routine testing for all three train sets in China before the official SAT in Malaysia.
Outcome
- Successfully delivered onboard communication system design meeting operational and safety standards.
- Verified installation compliance and improved integration process through site validation.
