Scope: Wayside PA System

Overview
This project involved upgrading the existing KTMB’s wayside PA system to a latest system for the KVDT and SGEDT lines, ensuring full compatibility with existing equipment and operational continuity. The work covered multiple stations, including design, integration, and system validation for the upgraded communication network.
My Role
I was responsible for preparing and updating system schematic drawings in AutoCAD, detailing all network and power connections.
I also prepared the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) documentation, led server installation within existing racks, and supervised testing and commissioning for all station PA systems in coordination with KTMB technical personnel.
This included leading a small engineering team and providing system training to KTMB staff during handover.
Outcome
- Successfully upgraded and commissioned wayside PA systems across all stations with full compatibility to the existing network.
- Improved system reliability and maintainability through updated documentation and structured testing.
- Enhanced knowledge transfer to KTMB personnel via hands-on training and technical sessions.
